MEET JARED

Jared is a seventh-generation Alabamian who grew up working on his grandad’s farm, playing ball, hunting and fishing. He comes from a line of blue collar workers, church leaders and farmers. He’s a born-again believer in the person of Jesus Christ and he lives his life through the lessons of service he learned from the Lord.
When Jared was 19, he went on a mission trip to Africa. While he was there, he witnessed a man beating an elderly woman with no one there to help and defend her. Jared tried to intervene and stop the man, but he was told there was nothing they could do, that wasn’t the reason they were there. From that point forward, Jared put himself on the frontlines to defend the defenseless, serve those who could not help themselves, and confront evil wherever it may be.

In 2006, Jared enlisted in the Navy, completing BUD/S and sniper school on his way to becoming a Navy SEAL sniper. He was deployed multiple times during the Global War on Terror (GWOT), as a SEAL with SEAL Team 3, and was awarded combat action ribbons, commendations for valor, and other individual awards during his service

CONTINUING THE MISSION
After serving his country overseas, Jared left the Navy and returned home. He and his wife, Lauren, started their family in the same place he grew up, the Great State of Alabama. He became a sworn sheriff’s deputy in Shelby County and went back to school to earn his MBA. He also started his own business, The Shooting Institute, where he teaches members of the military, local law enforcement, and everyday Americans the art of shooting and the lessons he learned in the SEAL Teams.

In 2018, Jared and Lauren, founded their nonprofit, Covenant Rescue Group. Using the skills that he developed overseas as a SEAL, at home as a law enforcement officer, and in business as a small business owner Jared was able to start combatting human trafficking and child exploitation with law enforcement at no cost to the agency. Together, Jared and Lauren have fought for those most vulnerable among us, our children, and given a voice to those who feel they cannot be heard.
Now, Jared is running for Senate, to be the voice of every Alabamian who feels they can’t be heard in Washington. Our nation’s capital needs more political outsiders, like President Trump, who fight for those who can’t fight for themselves, not political insiders who seek office to be self-serving. Jared spent his whole life on the frontlines in the name of service and sacrifice, and now he’s ready to continue that mission in Washington.
